The intrinsic qualities of the alfetta GTV make a good base for the competition, and it becomes famous gloriously in the 80s: champion of France of the cars of production in 1983 in Alain CUDINI's hands and also in 1984, piloted by Dany SNOBECK. It will obtain many victories in Rally, in group A and group N.
I know the key points and the weak points. What I retain especially it is that they are charming cars, pleasant to drive so much engines is flexible, in the envoutante tone, especially the V6. The comfort and the road holding are of a good level, a grace(favor) among others, in the principle transaxle which combines the clutch, limps with speeds and brakes on the back of the vehicle and distributes ideally the masses front / back.
The design, signed Giorgietto GIUGIARO is an aesthetic success which gives birth to a thoroughbred and timeless line. Alfetta GTV is a coupé capable of transporting comfortably four persons with their luggage, it was designed in this sense.
Some Alfa Romeo who wait for better days or will serve as organ bank for the workshop !
It was in the 70s. And then there were the other cars which marked me: Lancia Fulvia, Stratos, …
Later I was interested in the Alfa Romeo Afletta GTV, 4 cylinders 2.0litres, then V6 2.5litres of the 80s, so much that today I possess four. All are unfit to run for the moment, but they will take back the asphalt when I would have restored them ( You will be able to follow the restoration step by step in image on this site). I know well and appreciate the qualities of these two models of Alfa Romeo to have driven them during some years a GTV6 and, at present, as a daly driver a 4 cylinders 2.0l.
Although I resist no brand in particular, I like more specially the Italian automobiles of the 70s in 90 and more exactly Alfa Romeo of these years, doubtless because of my origin transalpine. Indeed my parents are of Italian origin, immigrated in France in the 60s. It is certainly during my journeys in Italy, being a child, that I took the virus, when we crossed Alfa Romeo "Giulia" on every street corner, even "carabinieri" ( Italian police) used this car.
Painting as well as the saddlery (tack room) are confided(entrusted) to partners disposants subcontractors of the structures and the know-how allowing a quality work. All the services(performances) are realized in a concern(marigold) of quality, respect for rules e the art and of listening appropriate(clean) to satisfy a demanding clientele.
The company " Classic Car Charolais " is implanted in Southern Bourgogne (France), to 7 km of Charolles, to the heart of the pastures of the Charolais beef.
It is thus in the green setting and calms down that I welcome you in my new workshop(studio) fitted out to maintain there and repair cars of marks(brands), with there more activity directed to the former(ancient) vehicles.
Indeed the workshop(studio) is also dedicated to maintenance and restoration of vehicles of collection, prestige and in sports vocation. The mechanics, the electricity and the body are made in our workshop.
